The Client Merge tool makes it easy to clean up duplicate client accounts in your business. With just a few clicks, you can merge one client into another, automatically moving all associated sites, orders, and order history into the account you choose to keep. Once the merge is complete, the duplicate client will be safely archived, helping keep your records organized and up to date.
How to merge duplicate client accounts
For step-by-step instructions with screenshots, see the Step-by-Step section at the bottom of this article.
Step 1: Click Clients tab
Step 2: Search for duplicate client account
Step 3: Click client name for the duplicate account
Step 4: Click 'Merge Client'
Step 5: Choose 'Destination Client'
Step 6: Click 'Go' button

Step 8: Click 'OK' on Merge Confirmation
Step 9: Verify details, if needed
Step-by-step
Step 1: Click the Accounts tab at the top of the page.
Step 2: In the Client search field, enter the name on the duplicate client account.
Step 3: Click the Client Name for the duplicate account. Note: you will want to initiate the merge on the account that is needing to be archived.
Step 4: On the right-hand side of the page, click the 'Merge Client' button.
Step 5: Under Client to Keep, click the Destination Client drop-down and select the client account that you would like to merge this duplicate client into. Note: merging a client moves their sites, orders, order payments, and ledger transactions to the selected destination client. It does not copy any account information like phone number, social links, etc.
Step 6: Click the 'Go' button. Don't worry, you will have an opportunity to confirm the merge!
Step 7: If everything looks correct in the Client Merge data, click the 'Move the Data and Archive the Old Account' button. If you need to make changes, click the 'Choose a Different Client to Keep' to cancel the merge and return to the previous screen.
Step 8: If you are sure you are ready to merge the client accounts, click the 'OK' button on the Merge Confirmation pop-up. Otherwise, click 'Cancel'.
Step 9: You will now be directed to the Client Summary for the Client account chosen to keep during the merge. The client will now have only one account that contains all of their property sites, orders, and order history.
