If you work with a large brokerage that has multiple offices or locations, creating a Group Family can help you organize your clients more effectively. A Group Family allows you to create a parent group with multiple child groups beneath it.
This is especially useful if you have multiple Group Admins or need different pricing, settings, or workflows for each office.
How to create a group family
For step-by-step instructions with screenshots, see the Step-by-Step section at the bottom of this article.
Step 1: Click the Groups tab.
Step 2: Click "Create a New Group."
Step 3: Enter the group information.
Step 4: Click "Save Updates."
Step 5: Create a child group.
Step 6: Select the Parent Group.
Step 7: Click "Save Updates."
Step 8: View the Group Family.
Step-by-step
Step 1: Click the Groups tab at the top of the page.
Step 2: Click the "Create a New Group" button to create your parent group.
Step 3: Complete as much of the Group Contact Info section as possible. Note: You'll see a Parent Group drop-down menu in the Group Configuration section. Leave this blank when creating the parent group. You'll use it when creating child groups.
Step 4: Click the "Save Updates" button to create the parent group.
Step 5: Repeat Steps 1 through 3 to create a child group.
Step 6: In the Group Configuration section, select the parent group you created from the Parent Group drop-down menu.
Step 7: Click the "Save Updates" button.
Step 8: Click the Group Family tab on the left-hand side of the page to view your parent group and all of its associated child groups.
