Sometimes a property, especially new construction or vacant land, doesn’t have a physical address yet. This can make it difficult to create a site using a standard address search. This guide will show you how to use a Plus Code from Google Maps to accurately place the property and create your site without needing a formal address.
How to Create an Order for a Property Without an Address
For step-by-step instructions with screenshots, see the Step-by-Step section at the bottom of this article.
Step 1: Drop a pin on the exact property location in Google Maps
Step 2: Copy the Plus Code from the map details
Step 3: Paste the Plus Code into the address field when creating your site
Step-by-Step
Step 1: Open Google Maps and navigate to where the property is located.
Step 2: Click directly on the map where the property should be. This will drop a pin.
Step 3: At the bottom of the screen, you’ll see coordinates appear. Click on those coordinates.
Step 4: On the left side panel, you’ll now see a Plus Code. Copy that code.
Step 5: Paste the Plus Code into the address field when creating the site.
Step 6: Add the ZIP code to the end of the Plus Code if needed.
That will place the property exactly where it should be and allow you to build the site as usual.
