There are many reasons you may choose to invoice a client instead of requiring payment upfront. Whether you want them to preview the photos first or prefer to allow payment by check, invoicing is a helpful tool for both you and your client. You can enable this option for all clients or only a select few—it’s completely up to you!
How to invoice your clients

For all clients:
Step 1: Go to your Business Default Settings
Step 2: Go to the Billing Options section
Step 3: Select "Clients Pay When the Order is Complete"
For certain clients:
Step 1: Go to the Client Summary
Step 2: Select "Must Invoice" or "Prefer to Invoice" under Billing Options
Step-by-step
For all clients:
Step 1: Click the Business tab at the top of the page
Step 2: Click the Default Settings tab on the left-hand side.
Step 3: Scroll down to the Billing Options section.
Step 4: Click the checkbox next to "Clients Pay When the Order is Complete" to enable invoicing for all clients.
For certain clients:
Step 1: Click the Clients tab at the top of the page and search for a specific client. Click their name to be taken to their Client Summary.
Step 2: In the Billing Options drop-down menu, select either "Must Invoice" or "Prefer to Invoice" to allow this client to be invoiced instead of paying at the time of the order.
